Deportated from Canada

Hi, I have a friend who got married. Her husband he used to be refugee claimant but didnt win his case and was deported from Canada.. She started the sponsorship outland in Mexico... He had an interview last May and he was approval for sponsorship... but He is still in Mexico... The question that She has is how long it will take to him to be able to come back?

It will take until his PR application is finalized. Mexico City is currently finalizing spousal applications within 15 months of receiving the application at the embassy. However, if he was deported, he will also need to apply for an Authorization to Return to Canada. Just getting permanent status is not enough. She should talk with a qualified Canadian immigration attorney about how and when to apply for his ARC.

I think he had already an interview at the Canadian Embassy in Mexico and the IO approved the sponsorship, but he was deported from Canada so is taking more time than usuall to get here...
