Hi,
Iam very new to this forum, i would really appreciate if you could help me with this confusion.
I am 10 weeks pregnant, and my application for PR is in process since we applied in Nov 2017. My hudband stays in Canada holding PR.
Now my question is if i dont get my PR till september,
1. Can i apply for tourist Visa
2. Can i deliver the baby being on tourist visa in Canada
3. Will any medical insurance would cover for my deliver, if yes which one?
4. Will my baby after born, be eligible for all the benefits for canadian citizen (newborn benefits with medical insurance and all)
Thanks in advance.

1. You can apply but have little chance of being approved. With a PR spouse in Canada and a sponsorship app in process, you are a high overstay risk.
2. Yes.
3. No travel insurance will cover you and few provinces grant coverage before PR. Which province does your husband live in? As you are only 10 weeks, it is very possible that you may become a PR and get coverage before the birth regardless of the province. However, it is also possible that you won't; in that case, you would have to pay for all medical costs.

You would have to time it correctly as well. While Alberta does cover spouses with visitor status, they don’t provide coverage on implied status. You would need to ensure you do t need to extend your status at the same time you are due, or you could find yourself paying for the delivery out of pocket.
