After my medical, CIC notified me about my passport validity. It will be expired in 2 months. At that time i was waiting for my renewed passport to arrive from my country's consulate. Unfortunately, i received it after 10 weeks.
Now all the applicants i know who underwent their medical at the same time as me are permanent residents. My question is how long will it take for me to receive my passport request. Since i was delayed for more than 2 months for not having a valid passport at the time. Thank you. Hope anyone can help me
Time line of my application since medical:
December 5, 2015 - medical
December 8, 2015 - cic is asking for a passport valid for more than 6 months
January 5, 2016 - i emailed CIC to inform them that i'm waiting for my new passport
February 25, 2016 - emailed CIC my new passport
March 15, 2016 - all the applicants i know who had medical on december 5 receives their passport request
March 25, 2016 - all the applicants i know who had medical on december 5 are permanent residents
