Hi everyone... Just a little background, I sent my Hubby's police clearance to the FBI back in December and am still waiting for a response. My application was sent to missisauga and received with a note pending FBI clearance on January 22. I was wondering if my delay in receiving my AOR was because of no FBI clearance? I followed up with them yesterday (its been 12 weeks since I sent for it),and they said they would look into the status of the police clearance and call me back. Thanks
Don't expect to hear anything from them until the timeline reads "Working on applications received on _____" the same week as when your application was received. They are still working on stuff from December 2014.
Source: If Outland, we're in the same boat at you and your husband, but about 1 month ahead, so we *just* got Sponsor Approval. We sent in our package with a letter of explanation that the FBI PCC (police clearance check?) was applied for on 14 Nov 2014 and that it would be sent to CIC once it arrives. Coincidentally, my FBI background check arrived a few days later, so from the way it looks, my cover letter explaining the lack of FBI clearance did not cause a noticeable delay to our Sponsor Approval.
outland certainly does have AOR. Unfortunately, not everyone receives one. if the application was received near the end of january, you will probably be waiting a bit longer. it appears CIC has started processing January applications (even though the site says Dec). I would recommend checking out the thread for January applicants to get an idea of who's getting notifications right now.
it seems to be very random. there are chunks of applicants who don't receive them, then CIC goes back to issuing them for a while, then there are months where they aren't issued. CIC does strange things all the time. Based on reports from current applicants, most seem to be getting AOR.
