Hi guys, we have received a re-medical request on 5th may , but me and my spouse passports are not with us, because of work visa stamping for Hungary. And since we are planning to stay in budapest for 1-2 years(after receiving copr, we intend to do soft landing in canada and activate our PR status), we are thinking to delay the medicals by sending a letter of explanation to IRCC, will this effect our application ? And if we do so, how much extension does IRCC gives to submit re-medicals again ? Can someone please guide us on this ?

Thank you for the reply. We will get an extension of 30 days from the due date only ? or we are afraid that IRCC will again put our file on hold and we'll keep waiting for the request for re-medicals again, because it's already been a very long time.

Yes, the extension you are requesting would be from the due date of the medical. Asking for 30 additional days would be ideal. However you can try asking for 60 days and explain that you don't have your passports at this time due to visa stamping by another country. I would not request an extension beyond 60 days. As soon as you have your passports back, get the re-medical done. Don't wait for IRCC to respond.

Ok. are you sure that our application won't be rejected, one of my friend told me that our application might be rejected because of asking extension for re-medicals !
