Hello!
I have got a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from Vancouver Island University for the January 2019 intake. I applied for the visa on 16Oct 2018 (Paper based, without medical, submitted passport along with the application to VFS Dhaka). VIU asked me for a proof of visa approval in November 2, and I informed them that it is under process.
On 8Nov, I was informed that they cant wait for my visa approval because they are already over-enrolled. They asked me for a deferral or a refund. I insisted them to give me some more time and wait for my visa decision from CIC.
On Nov 29, I got a letter from CIC that they want AN UPDATED LOA FROM VIU WITH NEW COURSE START DATES. I also got a Medical request the same day. So I now finally have asked the university for a deferral and will be doing my medical exam soon. In such condition, I am worried how the deferral will affect the application. Will I be rejected because I have deferred my intake from Jan19 to Aug19?
I would really appreciate if people can shed some light on this issue.
