I have applied for a study permit for September intake 2020 in May but due to unpredictable situations unfolding because of COVID 19, I decided to defer a year for the graduate program and commence my studies for fall intake 2021. Unfortunately, there is no January intake. The problem is I have already submitted my study permit application and it hasn't been approved yet. Should I withdraw from the current application and apply for the new one in early 2021? If my study permit is approved in August 2020 (while withdraw web form request is sent) and I re-apply in 2021, will it be a problem? I know the Medical examination is only valid for a year which I might have to reapply for a study permit.
Why withdraw? When one can wait to hear the outcome of the application. The decisions are pending and with the new current rule there is a possibility that with eligibility letter the student can commence studies but with Fall 2021 intake one can just wait and see what visa officer would decide and when.
In case you withdraw the application what would be point ?
Same here... I too am in a similar situation but have deferred to Jan since the deadline to defer was closing in. But, I'm thinking on waiting on my current Study Permit application to see whether I'll get AIP or not.
Hii I am having one doubt....
I took admission in aviation safety program (September 2020) but now as due to pandemic I am unable to go to Canada and if I defer that program then I have to go in September 2021
So now I changed to computer engineering technology program which will get open in January 2021
what do now I have to do as I filed my visa on aviation safety program.....
