Declaring criminal record for PGP

I am applying for my parent's PGP application 2023. I have a quick question regarding declaring criminal records for my parents's siblings. One of my mother's side's brothers has a criminal record (false criminal conviction and a court case is ongoing). Do I have to declare this in the application? Somewhere in the application, it is asked whether any of my parents' family including them has a criminal records. When CIC refers a family member, does this include my parents' siblings or just them and their children?
