CIC is asking me to provide this form. I file my tax common law on 2015 and get married 2016 here in canada. Most of my applications through CIC i didn’t declare my common law because the time that i made the application we already ended our relationship. Will it be misrepresentation if i provide the declaration of severance of common law?

As i entered Canada, i came here as a single mom because Common law is not known in the Phils. I have 2 kids in the philippines. Later on i declare the father of my kids as common law but after how many months i just found out he was having an affair and he admit it. So we ended our relationship the day i found out. Then i get married end of 2015. Now CIC is asking for this declaration of severance of common law. What will I do?

Concern over not declaring the former common law spouse when she applied for her PR I think. I think she called herself single on her PR because common law doesn't exist in the philipines even though in Canada she would have been considered common law, if I'm understanding her posts correctly
Send it, and get a notorised document from a Canadian notary public lawyer saying that in your country common law is not a thing and you didn't understand the concept until you were already in Canada. They will probably be bothered, but will try to understand your situation.

From other posts not at all clear what's going on, except likely some (new) PR app now.
So @Wendy35 - anyone who doesn't know the full story, and your story is clearly a bit complicated (came as a student, pgwp for a bit, pgwp not extended because not an eligible insittution - then some attempts at some other way to remain, etc), can only sort-of infer what's going on, and probably/guess infer incorrectly at some point.
therefore: if you really need to figure it out, you may need to hire a lawyer.
So I don't really want to guess. I don't think they're trying to catch you in some misrepresentation from ~6 years ago, and your case isn't really a family sponsorship issue (I think). If the only mistake was on your entry ages ago (and to me the dates don't make sense), and he's no longer in the picture, don't see why they're asking for this declaration either.
