I am an old CEC applicant and am wondering If you are from a visa exempt country and your ECAS was updated to DM, are you supposed to receive a letter requesting a copy of your passport bio page? I just read the following on the CIC website:
Applicants from visa-exempt countries
The ‘Passport Request’ letter instructs the applicant on how to send a photocopy of the bio data page of their passport and, if applicable, the bio data page of the passports of their accompanying spouse and dependent children.
Is this old information?? I could have sworn we sent in photocopies of the passport a long time ago...or maybe that was for something else. I am worried that if we have not received in yet that it may mean the DM = refused...
Had the same experience mate - they requested me to send my actual passport (not a photocopy) to the Local Visa Office (LVO) in Sydney/Aus
This was after I got DM status and PPR letter
They too had previously requested a copy of my Passprt during the original application submission
Got decision made on Friday as well... I haven't slept since as I am from a visa exempt country, paid RPRF upfront. So right now I'm just very nervous and won't sleep until I get a letter through mail. I know it might take a few days/weeks.
However, I noticed that some people have a new line added saying something like "a decision has been made on your application, an officer will contact you soon blabla".
I have 7 lines, the last one saying that medicals were received (in July 2015).

Oh really...?
Well, I called CIC on Monday to ask why a new completely random lined appeared on my ecas last Thursday (saying that they sent me a correspondence that I never received and didn't even appeared in my ecas) and the lady told me not to worry as my pr application was approved.
I am also from a visa exempt country and I am hoping to get my Copr tomorrow by mail (as it was sent last Thursday, according to the CIC lady). I still keep my fingers crossed... :/
