Last week, I had a citizenship test in Mississauga office, scored a full mark in the test. However, the interview was not straight forward as the officer couldn't find a couple of stamps especially that I had a big number of stamps in my old passport. Furthermore, I have a residency permit in another country and I explained the reason why I still have it but the officer said that "it's not good that you have that while you are applying for citizenship".

Finally, the officer said they will run a report to check my Canadian stamps (entry/exit) and I should hear from them in 4 to 6 weeks.

I have about 300 buffer days (almost 1 extra year) and I fully met all other residency requirements such as filing taxes, number of days spent in Canada, and all other conditions.

Today I saw that the status has changed from "in process" to "Decision Made", any idea what would that mean? is it 100% guaranteed that it has been approved and I just have to wait for the oath now? I am asking because the interview was seriously not an easy one, especially when the officer said "having this residency in another country is not good".

Please let me know what do you think...

Are you guys sure? is there any chance that it got rejected? Also, anyone is familiar with the oath timeline of Mississauga office?

You are okk man do not worry.. the only situation that could result in bad news in your case if you are a refugee PR and have eesidency else where.. if you are one of any other PR categories then you are ok 100% and nothing in the citizenship law would not make you get citizenship because you have residency else where.. so fast decision here is consistent with what is known about mississauga office.. by the way when did you apply for citizenship, are you Ocover or November applicant? What day exactly you applied..

It's a gulf country. I kept my residency there valid in order to be able to visit my parents without a hassle. However, I have been living and working in Canada for more than 4.5 years.

I applied in October. I landed as a SW immigrant.

If your status is changed to Decision Made, then its fine and soon you should receive an Oath Letter.
If CO was not satisfied with your answers and applications, they cannot change it to DM instead you should have been forwarded to Citizenship Judge to make decision (before DM).

Hey Leonidas, did you get the Oath Invitation? Please let me know

"it's not good that you have that while you are applying for citizenship".
What are they thinking about? There is absolutely no legal reason why this should be a problem. According to the current laws you can even say "I'll leave Canada the next day after the oath" and this should be ok. If they still look for "intent to reside" that's illegal.
