Hi,

Alberta PNP - Open to students of all provinces. Have obtained a diploma, degree, or have completed a graduate level program from a publicly funded community college, trade/technical school or university in Alberta or Canada, or at a private institution in Alberta authorized by provincial statute to confer degrees.
Have graduated from a Canadian educational program that was a minimum of two years in length at the undergraduate level or a minimum of one year at the graduate level. Those who study skilled trade qualifications, will have to apply under Compulsory and optional trades criteria with a skilled job offer in their trade (as part of strategic recruitment stream). NO requirement to work for certain months.

There is also a Engineering occupations criteria, again as part of the strategic recruitment stream.

Alberta is a booming province, with lots of jobs, both full and part time.

Success in any particular profession ( even in in demand skilled trades like Plumber, Automotive mechanic etc.) depends on your interest, ability to learn, perform well, work hard, network and with luck finally bagging a job.

Average minimum expenses for South Asian students in big cities like Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta may be anywhere between 600-800$/month (for food & accommodation).

To know more about practicing any trades in Alberta see: http://tradesecrets.alberta.ca/learn-on-the-job/trades-alberta/

Hope it helps.

As tiger mentioned that Alberta is a booming province.
Alberta have loads of jobs from finance to plumber.
So take some good course to achieve good paying job in future.
I have seen that pay rate in Alberta is better than other province.
The cities are quite developed and a nice place to stay forever.

Being a International student , you can only work 20hrs per week off-campus. And by working 20 hrs per week , you can earn around $800-900 per month easily. Cities are expensive. But still you can manage the expense easily , if you can find part-time job. And searching job won't be a problem.

You can apply for PR through AINP , if you have graduated from a Canadian educational program that was a minimum of two years in length at the undergraduate level or a minimum of one year at the graduate level.
After studies you just need to work Full-time for 6 months in study related job. And then you can apply for Permanent residency.

Good Luck.

For that full time 6 month work, do we require PGWP or something? What if after the completion of studies, the study permit is about to expire?

Yes, that 6 months should be done on PGWP.
After your studies , you can apply for PGWP.
The length of PGWP depends on your studies period.

Good Luck.

I heared about PGWP first time here and it seems very interested and good field.

Hi,

PGWP is not ANY field. It's a Post Graduate Work Permit, issued to eligible international students after completion of recognized Canadian educational program of atleast 8 months long from recognized educational institutes.

I think he confused PGD with PGWP
