i am Canadian citizen and i sponsored my wife since October 2010 ,she lives with my three Canadian kids in Syria Damascus
on December 2010 my little girl had a bad injury in her left eye which forced me to return to Syria . now it is June 2011 and i am still far from my job and i don't know what will happened to the sponsorship application.
does my return affects the application especially my wife received a letter asking here about every single step from me.

No. Since you are citizen, you can reside outside of Canada when you sponsor your spouse and children. However, you will have to provide proof of your intention to re-settle in Canada when the PR visas are issued. This would be a much bigger problem if you were a PR and not a citizen.
I AM Canadian but i applied when i was in canada at the time of sponsoring .
my children are all canadian
plz answer me because am planning to go back to canada without the kids . and the little gril has to visit her doctor her in syria every month cause she has EYES problem. and she is so little so i can not take her without the mother

So you are NOT Canadian. It doesn't matter if you applied, you must have been granted citizenship for the rule I quoted to apply to your situation. You are a PR until you have taken the citizenship oath. In your situation, I would get back to Canada and get back to work. I would also include a complete explanation of why you left Canada and went to Syria and why to stayed so long and include your daughter's medical records in the information she has to send to CIC.
When you sponsored your wife, you DID live in Canada, right? As a citizen, they can't refuse you because you left Canada as long as you can PROVE your intention to re-settle in Canada when the PR visas are issued to your wife and children. They may not like that you left but the law is the law.
