I want to inform all people who applied to Damascus as QSW (Quebec Skilled Worker) for my timeline:
1. Applied to Damascus office from Lebanon for CSQ (Certificat de Sélection pour Quebec): Nov. 2007
2. Received our CSQ (my wife and I): Oct. 2008
3. Applied to Damascus office for Federal Permanent Residence Visa: Mid Nov. 2008
4. Received Acknowledgment letter from Damascus: 2 Dec. 2008
5. Received our Medical Tests papers: 14 Nov 2009 (Today!!) after 11 month and a half waiting...
So I guess now we will be doing the tests and waiting for feedback from the embassy (which usually takes around 2-3 month I guess) and we get our VISAs...
If anyone who applied to Damascus as QSW, please let me know if I can help with more information.
Good luck to everybody! Really it's a great day for me today after a looooooong wait...
I wish you all the best luck in your case. Note that the ECAS won't change until they get the medical results and decide upon them. In my case for ex. the ECAS didn't update yet. I will have to do my medical tests, send them and then the ECAS will update.
I had my CSQ on Dec. '08, Applied as FSW in Cairo, Egypt on March '09, and waiting for my Medicals also, but Congrats for you , Just I Hope mine also comes soon cos long time waiting and it is frustrating..!!
I hope you will get yours very soon too... I know it's frustrating, very frustrating, but believe me, it worth it, for the simplest reason: if you're willing to wait that long, then Canada is for you. If not, then stay in your home country. So waiting has it's own benefits as you can see... and it will come after all. Now my second wait is for the VISA I will make the medical tests in the coming weeks, will let you know about the progress.
