Daily commute detroit-windsor after getting EAD and waiting for AOS

Did soft landing in Apr 2019 and went back to USA.
Meanwhile in October 2020 did I485 concurrent filing and awaiting EAD & AP & expecting 485 is going to take time as PD is end of 2013.
I am trying to figure can I move to Detroit-Windsor area and commute daily while I activate my EAD(assuming will have EAD in couple of months) and stay in Windsor to maintain my PR’s stay of atleast 2 yr/5yr to request extension of PR status?
Is traveling daily even valid if I have EAD? Will this be trouble for my GC application?
Due to some family related matters I need to have option to keep both track going. So trying to figure how to stay afloat and have both going.
Any experience or thoughts or knowledge you share is highly appreciated.
