I reside outside Canada, and I am applying through FSW stream (AOR 7th October 2017).
Since 31st Jun, my application status has not changed. It has been stuck for almost 6 months now on 'We are processing your background check'. In March, I requested GCMS notes via agency, and received them a month later. The notes were not very helpful, but at least I passed the eligibility. It was obvious that I am stuck at the security check stage. So I ordered CSIS notes via the same agency. The agency stated that from the time of confirming the request has been submitted, it takes 30 days. It has been almost 2 months (got confirmation of submission on 16th May), and I have not received the notes. I asked the agency, and they said they might be overloaded and that is why my notes are delays.
I have not received any update about my application for 6 months, and when I request the notes, which something I pay for, and they promise to send in 30-40 days, I also do not get the notes on time. What could be the problem? I started really to worry that is something really wrong.
