Hello there,
As a result of not fulfilling my PR obligation of 2 out of 5 years, I need to cross the US-Canadian
border. I have a few questions:
1) What will happen at the border?
2) Can I work in Canada? I still have a SIN.
3) Can I get an MSP for my whole family as we intend to go to BC?
Thank You.

How many days do you have in Canada within last five years?
It all depends on whether you are reported when crossing the border. If you are, the process would likely be started to revoke your PR status. If you have a valid SIN, you should be able to work, though the # may be dormant. A problem would be getting a driver's license and MSP, since you probably don't have a valid PR card. You wouldn't want to apply for a new one, leave the country, or otherwise come to the attention of CBSA until after you had met your two year residency obligation.
