he does not have any family in canada,, would he still be denied even if proof that returning to his home country put his life at risk? i am a US citizens and have two kids

He will not be allowed to enter Canada legally due to Safe 3rd Country Agreement. CBSA will turn him back to the USA.
Again USA and Canada share info, so if USA already denied his asylum claim then Canada may not put much weight into his claims as US has already found them not valid enough to be considered a refugee.

Again he can not enter Canada at a legal border crossing, due to Safe 3rd country agreement. CBSA will not allow him entry.
So i assume you mean he will attempt to cross illegally.
Assume that Canada will have all his US asylum claim records. He will also need to be completely honest about his failed asylum claim in US to whoever he talks to.
