Last week (SEP 25th) I have received letter from CHC London for Medical request , But the letter was dated 28/07/09 .
1. I received it almost after 2 months; I live in Dubai, does it really takes this much days to reach? , I checked royal mail website, it says surface mail delivery time for UAE is 56 days !!
2. More importantly , I have given 60 days to send my medical , I believe my 60 days starts from the day I receive this letter , otherwise already I lost 60 days in postal delay , so what is the way out and how can I save my case

i think it starts on the day they send the mail (unfortunately), else people will just say they received it whenever it is convenient for them to have received it. i don't know what is the best thing to do but if i was in your shoes, I would fax them a letter to say that you only received it on that day, fax a copy of the website that says it takes 56 days to Dubai and i would also wait for someone with some knowledge to answer in this forum. but don't wait too long.
i am getting Panic . If the date starts from July 28th then already i am in last day mates , what is the best way to inform CHC- London , Should I use online Enquiry form or Is there any other way !!
Immediately email or fax them, if possible get any proof tht u received tht letter only few days back .U need to prove them tht u received the medical request letter with an unusual delay as normally a letter posted by Royal mail from London does not take more than 15 days.I ve seen many posts of applicants from UAE, middle east where most of the times mail reaches within 15 days so ur letter must ve been stuck somewhere.I myself s based at KSA n I always receive letter from CHC London within 15 days of posting ,although I believe tht Saudi Postal System s one of the worst postal systems in the world.
Sorry I forgot to mention some days back I read experience of a London office applicant at trackitt whose medical request letter was lost in mail, he inquired from CHC n was resend the letter with fresh forms.So try to explain the situation to CIC ,I am sure they ll grant u more days.
Well I dnt ve any personal experience of contacting London in an emergency situation but sometimes back again I read an experience of an applicant who both faxed n emailed London.If I were in your shoes I would ve used every mean i.e.fax,online inquiry,email ,as one doesnt know ,which one they ll entertain first n now foremost important for u is to contact them ASAP.
I am a London applicant too, and I am expecting medical request as well. Could you please share with us your timeline? Thougg not accurate but this somehow could give us a trend if our medical request was already mailed to us but to this date we havent received it. Reply will be very much aprreciated. Thanks.
I would call CHC and explain and mention that you checked royal website and it takes 56 days for mail to arrive in UAE. If I were you, I would have called CHC the moment I received the letter.
Thanks for all the supports , it is 7.15 Am in London , they open from 8 so first I will call them then I am going to send Fax also. I know , now the only hope is God.
It is really ridiculous to deal with these guys . We are living in Internet era but they still use the same BC style of communication only , Even my first letter also misplaced somewhere and I got after 2 months , now again same story . I don’t know whether they will excuse me again tough I did no mistake
Is there any way that I can have all the communication through email in Canada immigration !!
