I have been to a few consultants and for paying the application fees they want my credit card information (which I am skeptic about ) I don't think it is safe, what if they misuse it? Can they?
I will be using my brother's card he is in Canada. Is it wise. I don't have any other credit card.
Please suggest some alternatives.
Its true that you should never share but then if its a reputed consultancy why not ? Because I have also gone with a consultant and i shared the details when they asked for it to pay for application fee.No harm done atleast until now.

Outside countries like India it's unwise to give your credit card details. It's upto you to do what you want. It's very easy to bill your card with only the CVV and the card number since there is no 2 factor authentication (OTP).

If its a reputable consultancy they should be paying the visa and you pay them directly their fees and the cost, they shouldn't need your credit card to pay IRCC.
