How do I know if CPC-M has received my application? I sent it all by registered mail from Europe, then found out that the postal service here won't/can't verify if the package has been received outside of the country! If I had only known that before...

I tried logging onto E-CAS but they don't have a record of me yet even though I paid the fees a month ago. Is there someway I can be sure that the application arrived safely?

Ange, try using Canada Post website, put your whole tracking number in there - I was able to find mine (sent from UK) on their website.

You won't be able to see if they received it until you receive Client ID from Mississauga approving you as sponsor. If you sent them on right address, then they did receive it.

You can always call CPC-M to verify if they got it.

OK...the Canada Post route doesn't work. It doesn't recognize the tracking number that I have.
I've tried to call mississauga but get a message saying that I can't make the call from my calling area. So I guess because I'm outside of Canada I can't call the Call Centre.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Hmmmm....was your tracking number a 13 alphanumeric number? Is there a bar-code reference anywhere on your receipt that is 13 digits, with the last two being letters (for example, mine ended 'GB' for Great Britain)?

To ring from outside Canada the number is 00 1 613 944 4000. Unfortunately though if they haven't started 'processing' it they will be unable to tell you whether it was received or not.

Its a 13 digit alphanumeric code but it ends in 2 numbers rather than 2 letters. Maybe that's the problem. I'll try the phone number you gave. Thanks a lot!

Is it possible to phone that post office you sent from and inquire the details of your shipment?

I had called the post office but they won't look into the matter until a certain time has gone by. But its time for me to call them again, I think.
I'm sure its arrived, I did put the right address on the package and enough postage, but I would absolutely freak out if I wait and wait and wait and it turns out the application hasn't even been received!
