I applied for visitor visa on August from Colombia (no response yet, obviously) but I said in my cover letter that I'm interested in visiting Canada on December for holidays. I know it will take more time as usual to get a response but I want to know: is very very possible to be refused only for saying "I'm going in December" if they start to process my visa in February or March? Like "okay December is over so, denied".
Visa officers aren‘t concerned with travel dates if you said travel for the holidays. Processing times for Columbia are 7-8 months. Do you have immediate family here because you can’t travel to Canada for tourism anyways.
