Cover Letter for PR under CEC

Hi,
Can someone please forward me a sample cover letter for PR - CEC application?
Although it is not necessary to have a cover letter with application, I just wanted to highlight that my son is candian citizen and i am applying only for me and my spouse.

I am in the same situation. My daughter was born in Canada and I am applying for PR. Someone told me that a cover letter would be a good idea when sending an application. Could you please give a sample of your letter.
