my country of citizenship is India, but I reside with my husband n baby in Oman as my husband is working there. When I created the express entry profile, my country of residence was Oman, but after receiving ITA I came back to my home country for collecting the necessary documents. Now when I am submitting the eAPR i'm in India. After submission I will go back to Oman. What shall i give as the country of residence, India or Oman? Also for contact details which mailing address and telephone numbers should I give? Please help, Thank you

If you came to India temporarily just for collection of documents and intend to be in Oman for near future the country of residence will be Oman.

Country of residence : Oman
Address & Phone number : Oman’s as you are residing there.
Your short trip to india doesn’t changes your country of residence.
In addition, make sure to apply for police clearance certificate from India only after you leave the country.
yes, I came to India for a short period, ie after receiving the invitation to apply, I came down to collect the documents, I took Oman pcc after coming to India and Indian pcc too, my last date for application submission is September 23rd and I intend to go back to Oman after the submission or else Indian pcc will be an issue again.
In short I will be in India while I submit the application but will go back to Oman soon after submission. That makes me confused as to what shall be my residential address, now I am in India for more than 45 days.

You’re residing in Oman. You’re only in India for a short while. Less than 6 months so that would not be your country of residence. Example. If using I flew to Australia for 2 months on vacation and got your ITA there while you’re on vacation and submit then. That would not be your country of residence as you’re not living there. Only visited for a short time.
Sorry for the repeated doubts, I am apprehensive about the face that since I'm an Indian, being in Oman on a family visa, writing Oman as the country of residence will be an issue. I took the Oman pcc after coming to India, and Indian pcc while being in India. so when i scan my passport the last stamp will be entry to India, the next Oman entry stamp will be after submission which I cannot upload. That's why i'm still confused, please bear with me.

There are so many Indians who live in different countries and put country of residence other than India. So it doesn't matter.

Hi Cansha. I have a similar situation. Hoping you could help me out.
Me and my wife are creating express entry profile with me as the Primary Applicant. I am an IT consultant working in a firm in Mumbai. I am currently working on a project on-site at Bangkok (I have a valid work permit here. I do not have a citizenship here). I am here in Bangkok since Feb 2018 and will be here till April/ May 2019. Post gthat I shall return back to Mumbai office. My wife (secondary applicant) was with me in Bangkok till December 2018 and has moved back to India for good ,recently . My CRS score is 464.
Now, I am creating the profile today and expecting to get an invitation in the next round.
So when we are creating the profile, in the
Personal Details column, under
Immigration history and citizenships section, they have asked for
Country of Citizenship (this is India for me) and
Country of Residence.
So my question is- is this asking the current country of residence(which will be Bangkok, Thailand in my case) or the country where I have citizenship for (which will be India for me)?
Please suggest what the right thing to put here- Bangkok, Thailand or India?
Thanks in advance.

Think about it if country of residence and country of citizenship was one and same why would they have two different fields for those?
