Hi,
I came to Canada in 2007 as a student, graduated and got post-graduate work permit in 2011. Then I went back for whole of 2012 to my home country. I returned to Canada in 2013 and have been working since. Just to confirm should I write in country of residence FROM: 2007(when I came as student), start date of pgwp or when I returned to Canada in 2013 as had left Canada for more than a year?
Also my national ID card is in english in front and has address written in native language in the back. Can I just send copy of front page or do I have to send back also with translation?

Since your arrival for your most recent period of residence (2013 - I assume you have a work permit).

I would recommend copying both sides; as long as the relevant info is already presented in English, it should be OK.
Thanks for the help jes_ON. Yes, I do have a work permit. The problem is that I am getting different answers from different sources such as CIC call agent. Some say to go with pgwp start date but what you said makes sense also, will have to make a judgement call on this.
One more questions: its recommended in addresses and personal history section to leave no gaps. If my situation changes on first day of month lets say I changed addresses(in above case changed countries and I came back to Canada on the first day of february) so I should I write was in my home country till 201301(or should this be 201302 to leave no gaps) and then Canada from 201302. I don't want to misrepresent anything as was in home country till only 201301 but don't want to leave any gaps as cant specify dates.
