Correspondence letter not given after approval

My study permit extension was approved online yesterday but I still didn't get a correspondence letter yet about it. I applied from Canada.
Is this a normal procedure for a correspondence letter to be not email after approval?

1. You will get the approved study permit in the mail. They don't send approval letters for in Canada extensions.
