COPR -Soft landing via Car to different Port of Entry

Hi,

I got CoPR and I am planning to do soft landing in next few days. Mine was given Edmonton as port of Entry. Do I have to fly to Edmonton only or can I do my first entry driving to Canada via Buffalo US border?

You can land at Buffalo.

Thanks a lot for quick response. Another tricky situation...
CoPR is given to only me and my kids. Wife was set as unaccompanied dependent. So, I got her TRV. Would there be an complications we all drove together ? i.e. Me and kids with CoPR and wife on Visa.

Depends. Are you a Provincial Nominee or FSW? If you are an FSW and plan to land in Buffalo border, be ready with a detailed itinirary explaining your path from Buffalo to Edmonton and also have an address for settling down in Edmonton.

Mine is thru Express Entry for FSW. I thought, FSW can settle anywhere and its the Provincial Nominees that needs to stick to the province?
