Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding my landing. According to IRCC website, even if I land at a CIC office
Or at an international airport in Canada, if I am an CEC inland applicant, it says I must have a valid work permit and/or valid visa.
But it is not making any sense to me in my scenario.
My work permit and TRV are expiring on may 27 2017. I received my COPR today. But I need to travel to USA between May 26-MAy 29 2017. If I land now, I will not get my PR card by then. I cannot understand why they need a valid work permit for inland applicants even though I am
Leaving the country before my permit expires and entering back with the COPR and single entry visa after ?
Anyone experienced a similar situation? Should I apply for a BOWP to have a valid status while landing?
Until what time is your COPR valid?
Can you land on your way back from USA?
During landing they will take your work permit and other permits since they will be not valid anymore.

I can land on my way back from the USA! My COPR is valid till April 1 2018. But I am not sure whether they would be ok with my expired work permit since I left the country before the permits got expired!
Do you think I should apply for BOWP?

If you will leave Canada before your work permit expire you will be totally fine. Even if you will leave few days after they won't make you any troubles with that, since volountery leaving is always seen as a green flag not red flag by government.

Thank you for your reply! I think I should be fine!
I raised a CSE since I was unable to reach IRCC via phone. I have explained them about the situation. Waiting for them to reply in a couple of weeks from now.
Most likely I might be asked to apply for a BOWP just to be procedurally correct so that I can be on implied status!
