My wife entered Canada on visitor visa, which she already had before our marriage. Here we applied for her permanent residence and during that she had received her work permit. Now we are planning to visit India but we are not sure if she need to convert her visitor visa to work visa to re-enter Canada or her visitor visa would be good for her re-entry. Her visitor visa is good until April and so as her work permit.
Thanks all for your response
Your visitor visa stamped on the passport is your means to enter Canada and stay in Canada until the expiry. Your work permit document lets you work in Canada. Your WP is not a travel document and does not let you in. Your visa stamp needs to be valid. So enjoy your holidays and come back and apply to extend work status in case PR is not approved by that time.
