Continous work experience for FSW

in the Continous work experience requirement, it says in total experience in the last 10 years..it has to be CONTINOUS..full time etc..I'm not clear how to interpret continous requirement..I was working from 2008-2012 and then from 2016 till date..so should I enter 6 years since all were continous or should I enter 2 year's because I took a break from 2012 till 2016
