Contacting local MP / member of parliament

Hi Seniors:

kindly advise, can we contact a local MP to get an update whether CIC received passports or not OR when would CIC returns our passports with stamping/COPR .....or does it look odd (/silly) and would have any negative impact on our application?

Does any of this forum members ever attempted this.

Reason for above query: When CIC does not reply our emails not sure there is another way except contacting MP ?

Please suggest.

I hope you have sent the mail in the format that they ask for - like app # in the subject, details in the mails like client id, name etc etc. then they usually reply back within 2-3 days.

the 2-3 day thing is very dependent on your question. If you do not get a reply in 2 weeks, then read through your email and make sure all information is in it. Also make sure that your question is relevant and your application is processing.

Stop bothering MPs for things like this. If your passport was sent with a courier, you can see if it has arrived or not.

Agreed.... GCMS notes would be the right path to follow....
