Is it mandatory that I should have work Exp in under shortlisted 29 Occupations or it can be any skilled Job, to avail the points under "Work Exp" factor/attribute ???
FSW can be applied either in Category 1 where the Application must have at least one year of continuous full time or equivalent paid work experience in the last ten years in at least one of the occupational categories identified in the Ministerial Instructions.
OR Category 2 where the applicant you have an offer of arranged employment in Canada.
After opting for any category , comes the Points accumulation for various Factors and 1 such Factor is "Work Experience"
and It is also written clearly that :
To be eligible for points, the applicant’s work experience must:
• have occurred during the 10 years immediately preceding the date of application;
• be in occupations listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) under Skill Type 0
or Skill Level A and B;
• not be in an occupation that has been designated by the Minister as a restricted occupation.
At the time of printing, there were no occupations designated as restricted. However, for the
most up-to-date listing, officers should refer to the Department’s website at
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp;
So I am confused whether the Work Exp should be in only the shortlisted 29 Occupations or any skilled Job listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) under Skill Type 0or Skill Level A and B, is enough to avail the points.
JDs should be one of the 29 NOCs.
There are 2 parts to the problem which you have mentioned.
1. You need to have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the 29 categories to qualify for FSW Category 1 or have a Job offer from Canadian company with HRSDC approval for FSW Category 2.
2. You need to have 4 years of experience in Category A or B in order to get the maximum points for work experience.
I hope this clarifies the things for you
@ new_2_Canada
Not Exactly ! I am aware of this things which u mentioned i.e. 2 categories are there
FSW1 - 1 year work Ex required in 29 Jobs
FSW2 - Arranged employment
So if I go for any category, under that there is one criteria called "Work Exp" which can give me 15 points minimum for 1 year.
My Question is Is it mandatory to get this Work Exp in 29 Jobs or it can be any Skilled Job ????????

@ new_2_canada -- > the why nothing is mentioned in this site http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp that Min work ex of 1 year should be under those 29 Occupations.
Its just written that it should be skilled Job
this is copied from the same link...why dont you read it first in detail..
Application category
Choose the Category in the table below which corresponds to your situation. This chart describes the two categories available to you.
Category 1
you have at least one year of continuous full time or equivalent paid work experience in the last ten years in at least one of the occupational categories identified in the Ministerial Instructions.
Note: The list of occupations can be found on our website.
NEW: A maximum of 10,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications, without an offer of arranged employment, will be considered for processing each year.
Within this limit, a maximum of 500 Federal Skilled Worker applications per National Occupation Classification (NOC) will be considered for processing each year. Please visit our website before submitting your application to ensure that the FSW cap and your NOC sub-cap have not yet been reached.

@ Haral
Dude, I read the post in detail in this link but u r not getting my point.
Lets take in this way,
Suppose if I go for FSW 2 Category ( Arranged Employment ) and not FSW1 then now I have to gather points for each criteria like Age, Education, Work Experience etc.
So now for this Criteria of "Work Exp" , its written that
Minimum work experience requirements
You must meet the following minimum work experience requirements to be eligible to apply as a skilled worker:
You must have at least one year of full-time, paid work experience or the equivalent in part-time employment.
Your work experience must be in an occupation of Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B of the Canadian National Occupation Classification (NOC).
You must have had this experience within the last 10 years.
So My point is here no where it is written that to get atleast 15 Points for 1 year of Work Exp , it should be under those 29 occupations.
Reply now !!!
;D ;D ;D ;D 29 NOC restriction is only for FSW-1......If you have an arranged employment under FSW-2 it can be from any occupation without any restrictions....though there are other requirements like employer satifying HRDC on why a resource is hired from another country.

Thanks @ Haral
Should I go for 2 years of PG Diploma in
IT related streams or Business related subjects like Global Business Management from colleges like Humber, NIC, Centennial etc.
Also Consider this scenario as well and Revert
If I opt IT related subject for PG Diploma ( 2 year ) and suppose ,I don't manage to get Arranged Employment then I wont b able to apply even under FSW1 because IT related jobs in Canada are not in 29 Occupations list
Please read it again and reply
