Confusion with the wording in the PCC letter....Please reply

Hi All,
I just got my police clearance certificate from CGI, Vancouver. I am really confused with what is written there. It says there is no adverse information regarding me but at the sametime says I am ineligible for the grant of immigration/visa to Canada.

I am really confused with this. Can some one please clarify that thing for me. Does it say the same for all the applicants who have recieved PCC from Vancouver. Other applicants please respond.

When it says 'NO ADVERSE' information, then how can that lead to refusal?? I am confused here.

Their sentence is opposite of this: There is some adverse information that would make him ineligible.

The word "that" in the letter refers to "no adverse information".

I agree that it is confusing. But trust me, you're good.

It must have said like this " There is no adverse information in respect of Mr/Ms.XXXXXXXXXXX which would render him/her ineligible for the grant of immigration/visa to Canada"

Which is absolutely fine. It means that there is no point on you that makes you ineligible for immigration. Two negations "No" and "ineligible" will make it positive. It means that you have positive point that makes you eligible for immigration, which is absolutely correct. No worries my friend
That is how they issue Indian PCC.

They could rephrase it more plainly, without the double negative and the subjunctive mood. But the meaning is clear.

There is none of something. What is there none of? Adverse information that would make you ineligible.
