Hii...i am working on lmia based work permit as liquor store supervisor ..i got invitation to apply PR in the last draw. In that one i indicated the expiry of my lmia as the expiry of my work permit in order to get the 50 points. But now i think maybe i did wrong. My work permit is still valid with the lmia number on it and the details about the employer and the job title. So should i change it to the expiry of lmia or leave it as it is because when i filled my form that time it was not giving me 50 points for the lmia if i select the actual expiry of the lmia. So thats why i changed it to the expiry of the my work permit as lmia expiry. What should i do now?
You cannot put an incorrect date for the LMIA and expect that you will get the points. When IRCC reviews the file they will deduct the 50 points when they correct the LMIA date to its actual expiry.
But my work permit is still valid based on the lmia issued so i wont get any 50 points for that?

No, having a work permit is not the same thing as having a valid job offer.
HOWEVER - since you are currently working on an LMIA-approved work permit, you only need to get a new job offer letter to qualify for the 50 points. The new job offer letter must indicate that you will be hired for at least one year (or permanently) AFTER you become a permanent resident.

"if you’re currently working in Canada in a NOC 0, A or B job on a work permit that was issued based on an LMIA, and:
- you’re working for an employer listed on your work permit
- you’re authorized to work in Canada on the day you apply for a permanent resident visa, and when the visa is issued
- your current employer made you an offer to give you a full-time job for at least one year if you’re accepted as a permanent resident"
Thanks mate
@jes_ON..so should i change the date of the expiry to actual expiry of lmia and just ask the employer for new job offer or i need new lmia?

Correct the date (if you can) and ask for the new job offer letter. Explain that if you get your PR status with this letter, they won´t have to apply for another LMIA : )
Thanks for your help
@jes_ON..if i need any help in future i will post again .Thanks once again
