Hi everyone, my husband qualify to apply for a permanent residence through sask nominee and canadian experience class. Which is better for the two? Or can i apply for both? Hope u can help me. Thanks.
You could apply for both initially and then see what happens. Ultimately CIC will ask you to withdraw one of the applications. Depending on how far along they both are when you withdraw one, you may not get your processing fees back.
CEC should be faster because it is only a one stage application while PNP goes through two stages, first the approval in SK and then the stage of applying for PR directly after that.
The processing times however depend on your visa office. You can see the processing times for CEC here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-ec.asp and is currently 12 months. For PNP, you would have to ask SINP what their processing times are to complete the nomination but you can see the processing times for PNP PR by visa office here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/provincial.asp
PNP has the disadvantage that when applying as a skilled worker under PNP, your application is tied to your employer (job offer) so if you lose the job during the processing time, you may lose your application.
Im just afraid that if i will apply both it will make our papers any delayed or troubles. I've phoned sinp and they said that nominee will take 4-6 months depending on the category and i think 1 year wait for the federal. And plus we have son who is a canadian citizen here for he was born here, do we need to include him in the dependants? Hope u can help me.thnks.

So PNP is 4 to 6 months plus the processing times by visa office seen here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/provincial.asp while CEC is 12 months.
Your Canadian son would be included on the additional family information form but not on the IMM 0008.
