Confused Date of Marriage

My religious marriage was held on 16 of may 2015 and the marriage got registered on 18 of june 2015 after my wife got her ID card renewed. So what date shall I use?

I think it will be the date of marriage not the date of registration, same as the birth certificate.

So I went to my council today and they told me its not an issue. The marriage registrar might have entered it later on in the register.
