confuse of Canadian living outside of Canada

My situation is I am Canadian, I want to sponsor my spouse who live in China and she has Canada visitor visa, now she is living in Canada. Because of my job, every year I have 5 months need to work outside of Canada. So I am confuse about I am a Canadian living outside of Canada or not.

If you spend over 6 months in Canada you should be a Canadian resident. You also need to file your taxes in Canada and declare your international income so it can be taxed.
