Hi,
if you are considering canadian college then you should know that because of private college you will not eligible for
Off campus work permit
post study work permit.

Since you are an engineer (assuming you did Bachelor's), you should always opt for a higher level credential than your current qualification in the field of your previous study/ background. So, a diploma.. which will be lower than your present qualification will most probably get you a rejected visa. Hence, you must opt for a PG level course, in your area of previous study. Now, how suitable will be GBM, which is a general management course open to applicants of all background for you.. I'm uncertain and are unable to comment. But definitely a PG level course will be better than a diploma..in your case.

Go for a recognized publicly funded college, which will allow you to get PGWP.

@tiger: if i apply for conestoga then will i get pgwp for 1 year?or its better to join another course after the completion of 1st one?

The PG level IB programme at Conestoga is exactly 8 months/ 2 SEM long without any option for co-op. so, most probably you 'll get only 8 months PGWP, again you may or may not get longer PGWP of 1 year, depending upon the VO issuing your PGWP and the number of credit hours, in the course. To be on the safer side, go for a PG IB course or something related to your field of engineering with a co-op option, where you will surely get extra time to your PGWP..depending on the number of extra co-op months you do other than the 8 months.

If you are planning to join a 1 year course and again join another 1 year course, why not better join a 2 years (16 months/4 SEM) combined course, where you will get 3 years PGWP. Unless after doing 1 year PG level certificate course, you do a Masters level course of 1 year or more, you will not get 3 years PGWP..and only receive 2 years PGWP. On top, since you don't 've good marks.. getting into a Master's course in any publicly funded University will be difficult. So, if you have your doubts, go for a combined 2 years PG cert/diploma course, preferably in your field of previous study.
