A friend in Edmonton (been living there for years and has some insight with IRCC in Canada) mentioned to me that IRCC will likely request Fall semester results from applicants that have been given AIP (or that submitted their application and then commenced classes) before they are issued full SP.
I'm not at all sure if this true, just putting out what I heard.
Possible, but not sure if it's likely.
Transcripts and grades will most likely come out first week of January after New Years, a week before studies resume. That would create a bottleneck in processing, and while IRCC policies are not efficient by any means this doesn't seem credible.
