Hi
I have a common law partner who is a permanent resident of Canada .Both me and my common law partner can prove common law relationship and we are both working as accounting professionals (CPA CGA).
My Post graduate work permit is expiring soon and would appreciate if someone can share his/her opinion as to whether i can get open work permit based on common law partner. Thanks
I have the same situation here. I found out there was a pilot program to allow sponsor spouse to work last year but they cancelled it this year. Can anyone help?

No - you can't - not based on your relationship alone. The SOWP program is only open to spouses of foreign workers in Canada. Since your spouse is a PR - you don't qualify for a SOWP under this rule.
In order to qualify for an open work permit, your common law partner would have to sponsor you for PR through the inland sponsorship process and include an OWP application with the sponsorship application. The OWP will be approved approximately four months after the application is received.
