Hi Guys,
I am a PR in Canada, and my common-law partner just graduated from university this month, she is currently with a
study-permit.
I am wondering if she is eligible to apply for OHIP as my spouse?
One of my friends told me he did this before, but I can't find it in their website.
My girlfriend is pregnant so that I really need advice here...
Thank you very much.
I think that you will find that it makes no difference to her eligibility for OHIP cover. It's based on her immigration and residency status, not yours. However, the appropriate information is here -> http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/publications/ohip/ohip_eligibility.aspx
Thank you for the reply.
It is just a friend under the same situation as mine succeeded applying for OHIP for his girlfriend.
I was hoping someone here might have the same experience.
