Hi everyone , so this friday april 1 we will be one year in common law but i will leave to US for six days on April 6 to April 11 . Is it ok for me to leave ? Because i read somewhere mention that it's ok for me to leave after my 1 year common law cohabitation. I had 2 weeks vacation by myself in february as well so not sure how this will affect to my application . I am gonna submit after I am back from US. Thank you so much and I appreciate the answers . It 's urgent for me so hope everyone can have the ideas about this

It should be fine. Two weeks apart is usually considered OK. In any case, you are not actually leaving your current house or apartment, right? That is, you will be coming back to your home on April 11 and will continue to live with your partner. This will not be considered a break in cohabitation. And you are right: once the one-year cohabitation has been established, the couple does not need to be together.

Thank you so much for fast replying . I am still worried for my 2 weeks vacation before . Should i mention it in my application ? Because i saw there is question " what else should we know more? " kinda thing . Not sure if they investigate when i travelled or who was i travelled with? Thanks so much , i am so paranoid about leaving apart each other

Two weeks apart is usually considered fine. I would not specifically mention it. Again, I am assuming that during this two weeks you still had the same address; you were just on vacation.
There is a question about your travels for people from some countries, so the two weeks would have to be mentioned there.
