hello, I am a Canadian citizen by birth. I am trying to sponsor my long time girlfriend as common law through family class. Would you be able to help clarify how to correctly fill out the forms? She was married to a third party but legally separated, she also has two children age 8 and 10 who will not be coming with her to Canada initially at least.

1. UCI? 2. Application number?

Also Financial Evaluation form IMM 1283

My spouse does not have kids who have kids of their own (making her a grandmother) so I am not required to fill out and include this form in our application, correct?

You should call IRCC. They will help walk you through the forms.

For number 1, if they are asking for YOUR UCI, then you should probably leave it blank. As a Canadian citizen by birth, I don’t think you have one. You also don’t have an Application number yet so definitely leave that blank.

I didn’t fill out that form. That’s all I can say. I am 95% sure you don’t need to fill it out either.

I tried calling, an automated voiced message reverts back to canada.ca, thus im writing in these forms for help.

That’s weird. Did you call this number - 18882422100?

They usually get a lot of calls so sometimes you may have to call a few times before you get through. When you do get through, they make you wait about 30 minutes or so in order to speak to an agent. At that point, you can request a call back if you live in Canada. This way, you don’t have to wait on the line.
