Hi there, My boyfriend is a Canadian and we have been living together for over a year (been dating for almost 5 years). I was an internation student and now I am working as a practical nurse. I have my full time job and stable income + savings. However, my boyfriend is still in university, having his own savings. He does not make money during his school year but he works in the summer (thats why he has his own savings). I would like to know if there is any income requirement for my boyfriend to sponsor me under “Common Law”? What if I explain to the IRCC that he has his own savings, and I have my own income which I won’t use any gov. aids? Thank you! Please help me!
