Hi There,
If any one can help me out in choosing a university or college in Saskatcheun Province....I have done my MBA from Uk and currently residing in Pakistan...I would like to take admission in Masters again or wanna pursue some specialisation diploma in saskatcheun
So far i have found two universities in saskatchen province
University of Regina
University Of Saskatcheun
( Criteria of the above universities seems to be quite tough)
please suggest courses which donot require GRE or GMAT
kindly also recommend some colleges in saskatcheun which take international students.
best regards
only these two universities are there
University of Regina have two collages
Kennith Levine collage is good but GMAT required
so if someone couldn't secure admission in Regina...does that mean he cannot apply for Kennith Levine college?
its a university collage u have to apply through Graduate research of university regina
R u currently Studying in regina???? if yes howz your expeince so far.....howz the student life there???/ are there any part time student jobs there?
Hey @ ug83 i applied for MPA program in university of Regina, their response time is very slow i applied in April and i am still waiting for their response.
There are only two universities in Saskatchewan, University of Regina and University of Saskatchewan also there is one public Institute that i knew, Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) they are offering diploma programs.
I hope this information helps.

First point is that you have already taken a master degree from UK, which is the best education system in the world so try to get experience in your relevant filed in home country and then apply as a skilled worker category to canada so that you may apply for a PR after one year of experience in canada .
secondly, it is very nice time to apply for a Jan/2012 session. Most of the well reputed unis in canada require GMAT not GRE for master degree in business/finance but it varies from uni to uni.
Try to search yourself for rough information about unis.
Kind regards
I am not currently in Regina but i hve applied in University of Regina
@Rashique in which program you applied for and did you received your admission letter yet.
hey Fahd,
could you please send me the copy of experience letter for MPA program in university of Regina.......i.e any idea how many students they take each year?
have you given GRE?

The business school in U of R is called the Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business, in order for u to be admitted, u will need to apply to the University of Regina graduate school and also the Business school. If u are admitted to the Business school then u will be admitted to the MBA or MPA program.
The Business school at U of R is NOT AACSB accreditated yet and that is why its not a top ranking business school. If u are interested in a better business school then u should consider U of Saskatchewan instead. The B school is going to be AACSB accreditated soon and then it will then have a better ranking nationally and internationally in both Canada and internationally. Any MBA or business degrees not AACSB accredited in North America is of not much value and its not considered a top ranking one. U of Toronto, UBC, U of A, U of C and some others that are AACSB accredited are all top ranking nationally and internationally B schools and Unis.
Any MBA from Asia or country that does not have AACSB will be considered as 2nd rated. Even in Asia, only the top ones are AACSB accredited, such as those from NUS, NTU, HKU, HKUST, City U HK, U of Queensland, UNSW etc.
Thank you abelkwh for your reply..but could you please tell me that if i take admission in MHRM..will i be able to get 2 years work permit after finishing my Studies.....or University of Regina MHRM program do not fall in that category......
also what sort of consequences i can face by taking admission in NON accredited AACSB course?
best regards
Usman
As for work permits after graduation, u would have to check with the Canadian website on that. Usually those with more than 2 yrs studies visa will be able to get 2 or 3 yrs of work permit after graduation here in Canada.
As for consequences for non AACSB programs, there are none, except that its not accredited by the AACSB for the high level of standards and when applying to AACSB programs that are accredited then u may face tougher admission standards and different criterias.
To be safe, to apply for any program related to business, I will only apply and get admitted to those with such high standards, or else, its just a paper to be wasted and its considered 2nd rated. Would u want a paper that is 2nd rated or one that is in the same league as Harvard, MIT, Stanford and have the accreditation of top unis.
Thats why only top good unis, such as those from U of Alberta, U of Calgary, U of Toronto, McGill, UBC, SFU etc have AACSB accreditation.
