I’m planning to apply for CI under the FSW category. I’m confident that my experience could match some of the main duties specified for NOC 4131 (College and Other Vocational Instructors) particularly as an English Teacher - College Level. I also think I can get a score of 67 or more points from the six selection factors for SW. I’m just wondering if the Visa Officer will not be having second thoughts regarding my experience as an English Teacher since I’m an Asian and not a native English speaker. I asked someone from an immigration consultancy and he is positive about my qualification. I hope to get some insights before starting my application. Thanks a lot!!! :-[

You should be fine as long as you get at least 67 points. Aim for 16 points on the IELTS so they wouldn't doubt your English proficiency. I've read somewhere in this forum that even though someone got 69 points, the local VO rejected the application due to the IELTS score. Just something to think about.
