Co-op Programs VS Non Co-op programs

Okay.. I am here once again..

I would like to get serious inputs regarding a co-op program and a non co-op program. Does co-op program really helps in getting a job as a semester work which than converts to full time job(good case scenario) or is it just an entirely optional thing with not so so much benefits?

What if I select a non co-op program over a co-op program. Am I going to loose something this way???
