Co op Permit

I am studying in Confederation college, Thunder Bay, Ontario. I changed my college from Lakehead university to confederation college due to financial issues. this is my last semester and placement is mandatory to complete the course.
I already have the co op permit that says my employer is Lakehead university. Should i need to change the Co op permit in order to do placements in confederation college?
Anyway, i already applied to change the co op permit t confederations name and it gets rejected stating that i already have a co op permit issued.(that is for the lakehead university).
S oi am confused that, do i need to change the coop permit to do my placements?
secondly, if i want to do placements in summer, do i need a permit?

Did you notify IRCC that you changed schools. If not you have to do that and apply for a new coop permit. You can’t do co-op with current permit.

I changed the DLI number. This is what our college advised us. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE TO DO??

Did you do everything in the link and update your file (student #, DLI).

And you applied for a new permit not change the conditions. If so contact IRCC or raise a webform. You can’t work on a coop placement until you get a new one.

It might be an oversight on the part of the V.O. But I will suggest you reach out to them.
You need to contact us if you:

• are a post-secondary student changing schools
• have a co-op work permit and you’ve changed post-secondary schools to another co-op program or
• need to change conditions on your study permit

Because according to the CIC website:
If you change schools
If you change schools and stay in a co-op program, you must apply for a new work permit. This means your new co-op work permit will say your new school is your employer.
You won’t need to pay another application fee to change your co-op work permit conditions or for the new co-op work permit.
