Closed WP to Open WP

I have Closed WP and going to expire mid of May this year. If my employer does not want to extend my WP, in that case can I apply for Open WP well ahead of my closed WP expiry and stay back in Canada to work in other organization. My Spouse is in Visitors status currently.

Please let me know if anyone knows it in detail. Thanks.

I have employer who are interested to offer me job with Open WP.

Anyway, please let me know if it is possible to extend stay in Canada from Closed WP to Open WP.

Why do you think you qualify for an open work permit? Based on the information you have provided, you don't meet any of the criteria for an open work permit.

If you want to continue working then either your current employer needs to obtain a new LMIA or you need to find a new employer who can obtain an LMIA.
