Here is my situation! I applied for PR, got my AOR and now have a closed work permit. But it was issued for less than two years (with a note on my permit that it was issued based on the validity of my passport).
Anyone has experienced this before? I want to know if:
1. Once the passport extended, does my employer need to pay $230 more on the employer portal when I extend my closed WP?
2. Can I just apply for a BOWP instead? I am not sure if I must have my closed WP extended to a full 2 years first, before being able to change it to BOWP .

Hi I'm in the same situation, I got my closed permit approved only for 3 months due to my passport expiry date, I have applied for my passport renewal, what did you do to get the full length of your permit? Please advise. Thank you
